One Year Figure Modeling
After figure modeling for one year, I kept coming back to the same embodiment lessons.
1. Our internal landscape is endless and endlessly complex. When I have to make my body totally still, it offers an opportunity to play around on the inside of my physicality and explore the space with mental attention and breathing.
2. Being still and calm in the midst of sometimes quiet, sometimes stormy creative flow is really hard. And really fulfilling if it’s not forever.
3. Under capitali$m, bodies are for sale. Work is work is work.
4. Body and mind and spirit are all intertwined, as separate threads in a braid.
5. Experience can affirm our astrology and astrology can lead us towards new experience. I’m a Leo rising and modeling feels really good because, momentarily, and consensually, I’m the center of everyone’s attention.
6. Staying still is painfull. Movement keeps us alive and vibrant. Any meaningful movemeant of the mind-body-soul.
7. The Earth is heavy and will always hold me.
